Ouch

I drive between 700 and 900 miles per week. Next week I'm driving to Georgia and back - plus hit stores.

So I hear about gas prices going up again - as high as $2.15/gal and I just want to scream!!!!

There just isn't enough output.

And even a decision to boost production at the meeting in Iran on March 16 would come too late to compensate for the late outburst of wintry weather in the Northern Hemisphere that is driving demand for heating oil. Cordier said the recent cold weather is no doubt fueling the rally in oil futures, but he believes that factor will dissipate soon with spring around the corner.

Hmmm......so it's because of the cold weather. YOU PEOPLE UP NORTH ARE KEEPING YOUR HOUSES TOO WARM - DAMNIT!! Turn Down The Heat or get yourselves to a warmer climate.

There - I think that should take care of it.

Now....are there any other crisis' I can handle for ya'll?!

Can you do anything about the cost of cigerettes while you're at it? Just askin'.

We are very conservative in our heating. Keep the temp down to 68 during the day and 65 at night (electric blanket, I heart them) we have the best windows money can buy, lots of insulation, energy efficent furnance, blah, blah, blah.

Our heating bill in January? $296.00
Ya, we had heart attacks. January is always the most expensive month but that bill was also the highest bill we have ever had.

It was also the cheapest bill in our hood and amoung our friends.

People in our hood keep the in house temp around 75, we can only imagine what their heating bills were. We are guessing around $550-600 dollars.

It is killing us northern people.

Teresa - If 10 million people moved in with Tammi, she'd be in heaven!

"So many people to talk to, so little time!"

Don't blame me, my wife keeps smacking me with blunt objects when I turn down the heat to 55 degrees...

(Or worse, touching me with the Endothermic Undead Lich-Feet of Doom)

I try to keep the house around 60, but my wife likes it a tad warmer, in the 70's. However, our bill wasn't too bad for the last couple of months.
