Son of a BITCH!!
What ever happened to staying power? Running the race? Fighting the good fight?
Thanks to a comment by QW, I checked the news and see.....Romney Drops Out of the Race for the White House.
I was half afraid of that when I saw he was pow-wowin' there in Boston. That and as of this morning Huckabee has more delegates than Romney does.
According to the article:
"Romney made the announcement in front of an influential conservative political group in Washington, saying that he was withdrawing because America was at war in Iraq and he would rather support McCain as nominee rather than make it easier for the Democratic nominee to win."
Well, he does have a point, but still.......*%^D@&
Damn it all to hell...........
The conservative party is hurtin' for certain when the best we can offer up is John McCain.......IMHO.
UPDATED: In case you missed it.....
I sense a little frustration at Tammi's world, not that it's THAT noticeable. But, it does look like we are kinda running, or have run out of options, for the presidential race. Myself, I went from Fred to Rudy then Mitt. Now, well I hate to bite the bullet, but what else can we do ?
Keep the faith young lady.
I saw this coming, but didn't expect it today. No way in hell was he going to support Huckabee. Huckabee was constantly sparring with him. I honestly thought I'd see Huckabee bow out first, but then thought he'd stay in to continue to pull votes away from Romney.
This will be very interesting...
Posted by: Bou at February 7, 2008 05:10 PMOh and now that Romney is out? Let us see what Huckabee does.
Posted by: Bou at February 7, 2008 05:11 PMThis sucks. I know I'll have to bite the bullet and vote for McCain. :(
Posted by: pam at February 7, 2008 05:34 PMI'm bummed
conservative without a candidate
i'm trying to find the bright side. and it's hard cause i liked romney. BUT i figure now that the republican ticket is decided without my input, that leaves all of us repubs in texas to swing the vote towards hillary. don't you think we should? the obama fantasy train scares the ever loving hell out of me. and hillary, she seems the most likely to beat.
plus there isn't any difference between her and mccain anyway. ugh, this election SUCKS.
Posted by: supergurl at February 8, 2008 09:26 AMUnless I find a good Independent/Third Party candidate, I'm voting Obama/Clinton.
