Ok - so today isn't starting out a great as I thought it was. Sometimes all I can do is shake my head in amazement at my own......well, I guess battiness would be a fitting phrase.
I got up this morning a bit after 5:00. Good. Perfect.
Coffee was ready. WooHoo. Sat down and tried to write a couple of posts but just couldn't focus.
Went to the closet and picked out a pair of black slacks. Paired that with a comfy plum/black top and out the door I went. I had my black flip flops in the car so the shoe thing was covered. (Yes, we can wear flip flops if we don't have customer's in. I TOLD you this was the perfect place for me!)
The drive in was good. Even with the freaky drivers I made it before 8:00am. YEAH!!
The I get settled in. Stopped off at the restroom and got a glimpse of myself in the mirror.
Son of a Bitch.
My black slacks? Yeah, they're blue. AND the zipper is currently broken. Lovely. Just lovely.
So - my plan is to just stay hidden in my office. I'm even thinkin' of having some one pick me up something for lunch.
I think I'm going to have to do two things at The Belfry, and quickly.
1) Get a full length mirror
2) Install a light in the closet
Oh well, at least the day HAS to get better from here......
I'm sure of it.

I am always paranoid I am going to rip my pants open (actually did that once) while at work. All you have to do is get the outfit from the car and change. If anyone asks just say you spilled something on it and had to change.

Posted by: Princess Cat at June 27, 2006 11:14 AMTammi,
I've got that blue/black color blind thing going on too. Definitely need a bright light in the closet.
Make sure you get a fluorescent light. Fluorescents are horrid, but it's what most people work under all day. We had a woman who always looked dead, because she applied makeup under incandescent, and worked under fluorescent. When she put one of those screw in fluorescent lights in her makeup light, she looked 100% better.
Well, she looked like she was among the living, anyway.
