To say I am tired would be the understatement of the century. Folks, we worked our asses off yesterday.
First and foremost I have to say THANK YOU to TNT for all of her help in this. If she hadn't have come to help yesterday I can honestly say I don't know how we could have gotten things moved.
And Cuz? Who, in their right mind, flies all the way from Florida to Illinois to put themselves through something like that?? But what would I have done without her?! Thank you Darlin'. You saved me - again.
We returned the truck at 3:00 this morning. It was a very long day. But, we got everything except the washer & dryer moved. I'm still hoping to sell it, and the landlady is allowing me a bit of time. Not much - but a bit.
You shoulda seen us. TNT christened us Three Dolls and a Dolly. We flat out ROCKED. Solid cherry executive desk? No problem. Over sized couch and love seat? No sweat. 6' oak wall unit? Outta here!
Yes - despite everything I am officially out of The Little Blue Cracker House. Oh, we're finishin' up some small things this morning. Then it's off to the Airport and down to Florida for a week.
We're bruised, battered and exhausted. But we got it done. And not a broken bone to be found. WooHoo.
**Prepare for Scarlett O'Hara moment** And as God is my witness - the next move WILL be paid for. If someone wants to make their living moving shit - then I'm all about supporting the local economy. NEVER AGAIN!!!
