Hope ya'll are having a good Monday. It's stormy here today, so I'm sticking close to the house, all though I do have to venture out into the big bad world of Staples this afternoon. (They have agreed to take back the fax/printer/scanner/copy thingy from hell I've had trouble with.) But all in all, it's a day for paperwork and preparation.
But I was thinking about some things while waiting for my files to download.
**Often times I'll read something I really like, agree or even disagree with. It may spark a train of thought or cause me to just stop in my tracks. But, for some reason I don't leave a comment. Sometimes I think it's because I can't think of anything that adds value. Sometimes I'm just flat out intimidated by the author or other commentors. Sometimes it's just laziness. I LOVE when I get comments, I'm sure others do also. I'm gonna have to work on that.
**I adore popcorn, green apples and carmel. Put them together and I'm very happy. So when I saw Jolly Time's new Caramel Apple Popcorn, saying it combined all those flavors I was on that like stink on shit. And shit is the appropriate word at this point. Yuck. It's awful. Really awful. Damn.
**I did all of my grocery shopping last night without hearing one conversation conducted in "American English" until I got to the check-out. Tourists. The lot of them. That or "part-timers". Geez. No wonder I haven't met any of my new neighbors.
Ok - since the popcorn was so bad, I better find something for lunch. Hmmmm nacho's and cheese. Yeah, that's the ticket.

I saw the best bumper sticker years ago, "If its called Tourist Season, why can't I shoot them?" But I have an additional one (a nod to Eddie Izzard), "Tourists...taste of chicken!"
But then again the Florida Commerce may not want to use my slogan ideas. Ah well...it's still 3-4 months before they return. Enjoy the quiet while you can.

For me, my usual excuses for not commenting are either time constraints, the post was written so well there's nothing left to say, or that the reactions a post provokes in me are too complex for me to sort out what I really want to say.
Another reason is when someone covers several unrelated topics in a single post and I want to say something about the first one, and everyone else is commenting on one of the others.
But for the blogkids, I try to leave SOMETHING at least once a day, even if it's just a couple words. Figure I got 'em into this mess, I owe 'em a little love :-)
