Saturday's Question

Every Saturday I'll try to come up with some "out there" question that just makes you stop and think about something not so important. Think of it as a mini vacation. If you have any ideas drop me a line and we'll throw it in here. Who knows, it might be fun.

OK - Here goes: What is your favorite Saturday Morning Breakfast?

I'm sitting here at my kitchen table, just sipping on coffee and taking a stroll through the blogsphere. I've got a couple of eggs boiling on the stove, an english muffin in the toaster. Yummy. It's my favorite Saturday morning breakfast. Oh, I love waffles and bacon and, well just about any breakfast food. But on a quiet Saturday morning THIS is what I enjoy.

Part of that is because I gotta cook it. And clean-up is a part of the whole breakfast thing for me. This is pretty easy.

This has been my Saturday morning breakfast of choice for years now. Nothing fancy. Just good.

So tell me....what is your favorite Saturday morning breakfast?!?

My dream breakfast is a small three egg omelet: ham, cheese, peppers, onions, tomatos, chili, a dab of sour cream. Served with a large order of hash browns (not crunchy), sausage, wheat toast or english muffin with butter and honey, and a very large glass or two of chocolate milk. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

What I actually eat, and still enjoy, is usually a piece or two of cold pizza and a glass of water. Or beer, if it's handy.

My favorite weekend breakfast ever was when husband was first commissioned as an Officer, and we were at Fort Benning.

First time at the officers club, and for brunch to boot.......

I was a very proud wife, and smoked salmon for breakfast is always delicious.......

I also appreciated the "no cooking and cleaning" part.....

That was the first and last time at the officers club......

I don't eat breakfast these days, but when I was young, I loved crispy bacon on white toast with strawberry jam (jelly?)

Smoked salmon in scrambled eggs was another favorite.

Great question :-)

Saturday morning breakfast, nothing.

I usually get up early, shower and get my errands done. They come home and clean the house.

By the time I sit down it's after lunch, so lunch is usually my first meal of the day on saturday's.

I'm not a huge breakfast fan as it is, sundays are usually the only day I truely eat breakfast. During the week it's usually a piece of fruit or yogurt.

It's just to early in the morning to eat food, yuck.

Since I don't cook (I have actually burned water)...

Eggs Benedict and a baked apple from Brennan's in New Orleans.....

Hey, you and I have done the breakfast thing together! You and I are on the same page!

If we don't eat what you and I ate that morning, I like nova and cream cheese on a sesame seed bagel.

And I think my T1Gs description, it is impossible to make that a small omelette!

My stepmom's dough cakes. They are basically fried dough in the shape of a pancake. You put butter and jelly on them.

Ebleskivers! (Pancake balls with applesauce inside & powdered sugar on top) Yummy!
