Puppy Blogging
Well, Cody and I are doing pretty well. He's a very smart little boy. He now does pretty well telling me when he has to go out. AND we started making him wait at the door when we come in so I can take his leash off. He is actually starting to do that without me saying it! WooHoo.
Oh, we still have our accidents. It was hysterical - the other evening I'm on the phone with That 1 Guy and we have an "incident". I should probably mention that I no longer have "normal" conversation. I have turret like outbursts of "No, don't do that" or "Get da baby" and most common "DON'T BITE DA MAMA!". So in the middle of his sentence I start yelling "No, don't pee on the bone, not the bone. Don't pee on the bone! Oh, he's peein' on the bone. He's so screwed!" T1G is cracking up and then asks where the quote pen is. Oh, that's right - it's in Tammi's Special Place. (you have to read the comments in that post to really get it)
Anyway - we are adjusting very well. In fact, even though it's only been a week I can't imagine life without him.
We have some big news coming up pretty soon. Lots of changes for both of us. Can't really go into it right now, for a couple of different reasons - but at least we have each other. He really has added something special to my life.
So anyway - here is a new Cody Candid moment. He's in his favorite place - lying on his back, at my feet looking up at me.
That's a cute little guy you have there. I am sure he will be a great companion for you. And glad to hear you haven't bannished him to the back yard like so many do. Dogs are such social little "people." They love being a part of your family.

As for the phone thing, get used to it, because as long as they want your attention, they will attack while you're on the phone. It doesn't go away after puppyhood :)
