I love LeeAnn and Dogger's home. I love spending time here, I love spending time with THEM. We had a wonderful evening (despite Tammi's oops with the chocolate martini's) except for missing Dogger. We got to talk with him, but it just wasn't the same. Soon.
Anyway - it's amazing to me how similar LeeAnn and I are when it comes to what we like. She has a fantastic collection of Jack Vettriano (link updated thanks to Harvey!) posters framed. That is exactly the art work I want for my bedroom. We both have Monet's throughout our homes. We did that before we knew each other. Heh.
But it's the comfort level I feel with them. On every level. They love me for exactly who and what I am, was and will be. Kinda cool - heh.
I know I often times talk about drinking, and trust me folks - I LOVE TO DRINK. BUT that being said, I am very careful to NOT drink too much unless I know someone has my back. I need to know that no matter how silly I am they will save me from myself. I also need to know that if I do let my guard down they will make sure NO ONE ELSE will hurt me. I made the mistake, once, of thinking I could trust someone and letting my guard down, having too good a time, and well....let's just say I still struggle with that.
So......for me to drunk blog from here - you know I was in a very happy place. I just LOVE her!!
Today is driving, driving - lots of calls and some time at Kinkos. I need to be back at the house by 9:00 tonite, to finish puppy proofing the house. Tomorrow is PUPPY DAY!! I'm so excited.
But.....I wanted to take just a couple of minutes, first thing this morning to tell you what a wonderful evening I had, how lucky I am to have LeeAnn as a friend and to wish you this kind of comfort. It's a very good thing.
