Do Not Remove
OK. Listen up folks. I'm only gonna say this once.
You know those tags attached to the head of your mattresses? You know, they have a bunch of stuff written on it and then say "Do Not Remove"?
Yeah, well, LEAVE 'EM ON THE DAMNED MATTRESSES! Ya Hear Me?!?!
Holy crap. Those things are important. Really they are. Let me explain.
They tell us where the matts were made. They tell us when the matts were made. And, this part is really cool, I can even narrow it down to who signed off that the product was made to specs. Without them I cannot tell which mattress it is, or verify if it actually HAD a warranty
Mattresses are not cheap. Not good ones anyway. And...people want warranties. That's ok with me. You spend that kind of money you SHOULD have the peace of mind knowing that if something goes wrong, you'll be taken care of.
BUT...without that tag, I can't take the mattress back. I just can't. Period. If I do - I pay for it. And I'm here to tell you, I stand behind my product but THAT'S asking a bit much.
So....leave the damned tags on there. They are attached to the head of the mattress, up by the headboard. They aren't hurting anything. Leave 'em alone.
Cause otherwise? Yeah......you're on your own.

Really, unless you are handcuffing your hands to the BOTTOM of the headboard, you won't even know those little tags are there. They really don't hurt anything.......

Posted by: pam at November 5, 2007 11:57 AMHow about stapling them to the receipt? Most people keep their receipt for a bed, even if they rip off the tags... so it would be easy to keep it all together, but not have to deal with hanging tags on beds that are "open"... just a thought.

But here's what gets me. You put a mattress pad on the bed - or at least you should. The tags are under the mattress pad.
If by chance you don't do THAT you do put a fitted sheet on the bed. The tags are under that too!
Unseen. Unfelt. Basically invisible.
So I just don't see why folks cut those damned things off. It's a mystery to me
And one that cost me some bucks last week, just tryin' to be a nice person.
Hence the post.
That's it. No more Miss Nice Guy.....

Posted by: Tammi at November 6, 2007 08:43 AMI don't even cut them off my decorative pillows. I just tuck the tags behind the pillows when I make the bed. And the whole mattress thing -- anyone who sees that tag when the bed has linens on it... well, they have more problems.
