Happy Birthday Dee

Today is my little sister's birthday. I will always call her that because, well she is younger than I am. And she's a short little shit. Seriously, we no more look like sister's than the man in the moon. If the girl's 5'3" I'd be surprised. I top her by almost a foot.

Well today is the day we celebrate HER. I introduced y'all to her way back in the beginning of my blogging life. She's a firefighter and a paramedic. I just found out this weekend that she's going back to school to finish her nursing degree. She helps people. That's what she does. It's a large part of who she is.

Her day to day consists of doing things I cannot imagine, seeing things that would give most of us nightmares. And without people like her this world would be a pretty horrible place.

Happy Birthday Dee. I'm proud of you darlin'. Just in case I haven't told you lately......

Happy Birthday to the girl who shot our Tammi!

Thank-you Tammi. I am honored. For the official record it's 5'3" (Which you have to be to be on the job.) But, I held my breath and eased up on my toes a drop. The real is 5' 2.5". So you have me by one whole foot and a half an inch.

Did you really tell about me shooting you??? Is there nothing sacred?

Had any headaches lately?...

Love ya anyways.

Tammi,

I haven't read your blog for a while...lost the address when computer crashed. I have caught up the last few days and I wanted to let you know that I am very proud of you for your posts about abuse. I may touch a few lives. But you can reach so many more. By helping to place thoughts in peoples minds and open eyes to what is under everyones noses, everywhere. I am so thankful for those that openned their eyes and saw me then. They helped me see that I could leave.

I do know how painful this was for you. I also know, to verbalize and remember helps to free you from some of the imprisonment that abuse leaves with a person. Stand tall, be proud, you are a survivor. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU! My big, sister whom idolize.
