Saturday Question
Well lookie here. It's Saturday. I don't know about y'all, but I haven't known For Sure what day it is all week long. Even worse than usual.
So, if it's Saturday, I probably ought to have some kind of a question. For cryin' out loud.....I did one every week for two years. This past year or so, I've really dropped the ball.
And since it's been so long, and I've got several different/new readers I'm not even going to worry about "repeats". Plus, I find some of my answers change with time.
Just to remind you, the purpose of the Saturday Questions is to take a little break from the heavy stuff in life. A mini vacation as it were. The chance to think about something that's just not so important.
So with all that in mind, here's today's question. Tell me about your favorite breakfast.
I love breakfast. Love Love Love Love Love. And for a while there, I did a big breakfast every weekend morning. Not so much anymore. But that might be changing. I kinda miss it.
Now, being a true breakfast lover, it's kinda hard to narrow it down to my favorite. I adore GOOD biscuits and gravy. And eggs fixed just about any way. I'm kinda odd, in that I don't like pancakes. Nope. Not at all. Love waffles, but not pancakes.
But my favorite breakfast is MY french toast (made with french bread, cream, vanilla and cinnamon) eggs, hash browns, sausage patties AND bacon. Fresh coffee and some nice cold Tropicana OJ. THAT is breakfast. Plain and simple.
So tell me about YOUR favorite breakfast. Do you make it yourself, or is there a special place you know will never disappoint?

I like breakfast on the road, so I don't have to feel guilty about not having my requisite yogurt or oatmeal.... I usually get 'the works' in a Denny's or iHop. Love eggs, love bacon, love pancakes, love waffles.... ok, so I love all food. ;)
Posted by: pam at September 8, 2007 12:44 PMI make my own version of Egg McMooby muffins. Egg, hash brown pattie with 1000 island dressing and cheeze with lunch meat. Start cooking about 1030 and done and in my chair before football pregame at 11. And full til the 3 o clock game!
Posted by: Bruce at September 8, 2007 04:32 PMOOOhhhh! I make french toast the exact same way but I bet you don't top it like we sometimes do. My parents were of Canadian descent and both would put cinnamon sugar on top, then roll it and eat it like a hot dog.
My kids still sometimes like it like this otherwise it is only served with pure maple syrup. Wow, this has got me hungry again.
Am I the only one who likes breakfast food for dinner?
Posted by: Lemon Stand at September 8, 2007 06:03 PMI love biscuits and gravy from Bob Evans. BUT I also like 2 pancakes with a fried egg in between them, smooshed and then pure maple syrup over all of that. With a side of bacon and a tall glass of OJ.
I also like breakfast food for dinner (or lunch).
I don't like Pancakes either... Toast Yes, Pancakes No sir... I'll eat 'em, If I have to, But if I had my choice, I'd pass.

My weakness when it comes to Breakfast is Steak and Eggs... Oh Sweet Jesus is it ever yummy!
I can fix it myself, Yes, I am a guy and I know how to cook, amazing, ain't it?
But there's a restaurant down the road here, called Louie's Family Dinning. they don't have a website....
But they make the BEST Steak and Eggs and omelets that would your mouth water and your belly holler HEY! and they feed you there, you walk out of there hungry and you got some issues, BIG issues...
If you're ever in Detroit Tammy, I'll buy you one.
