Still Needed

OK - I know of two folks that signed up with Soldiers' Angels after the call went out last week.

And I thank you.

BUT....according to this, we still have over 1,500 that are waiting!

Come on folks. Honestly. It's not difficult. Soldiers' Angels does a GREAT job of giving you the information you need to take care of these amazing men and women.

I've already sent one letter and a couple of emails. My first package will go out this week. And I'm gonna throw the gauntlet down. I'm willing to bet you can't be much busier than I am, and I'm finding time to do this.

Please. This is an easy way to make a big difference. And, I know I say it over and over and over again, but it's THE LEAST WE CAN DO.

Head on over HERE and get the details.

Then send the damned email requesting a Soldier.

They're there when we need them - we need to be able to say the same thing.

Thanks for the smack on the back of my head. I just finished signing up.

Surfed on over from AWTM...I told her as I'll tell you, that it must be something in the air!! I just made the decision to adopt again last night. The Blackfive post had been bugging me for days, and I finally relented. Received my Marine's name this morning, just minutes before I left to volunteer with SA at the Marine Corps Family Conference. So...one down and 1,499 to go?

Let's hope they all get snatched up SOON by loving, caring folks who will understand and appreciate the meaning of sacrifice!

Happy Birthday, by the way!

I don't want you to think I'm not stepping up... but I really have my hands full with my buddies overseas one after the other after the other... and now possibly my own DH (http://slowlyturningleaf.blogspot.com/2007/07/odd-call.html). I would definitely adopt a stranger soldier if I could! I have one in Kosovo, three in Iraq, one in Afghanistan, one in Korea, and one very special one in basic training (RSM, blogdaddy!)
I'm not slacking, I'm just busy!

Happy Birthday you beautiful lady. Does it count if I'm currently writing to a number of soldiers, one on his 3rd deployment. I may not write interesting humorous emails, but I am nothing, if not faithful.

Does that count? Hope you're having a blast!!!
