Wasting Time 101

Oh yeah. It's a beautiful Sunday morning here in THE valley. Every blind is up, to capture the sunshine while I can. Coffee of the day is Pumpkin Spice with some vanilla creamer. My favorite for fall.

In the mood for Eric Clapton this morning. I really enjoy his music.

I just spent an hour cleaning out my blog email. Holy Crap, it was outta control. Right now comments are not being emailed (don't know WHAT'S up with that) but man, did I let that go. Bad Tammi.

Not gonna do any "real" cooking today. Not in the mood. Plus, I'll make up for it next weekend, so I better save my strength. LOL

Actually I don't have a damned thing planned for today, and that feels kinda nice. I need a day of nothing. A day of wasting time. Hell - I think everyone should make some time for nothing. It makes it so much easier to get through the rush.

So it got me to thinking. How do YOU like to "waste time"? Me? Reading, napping, I don't consider blogging a waste of time so that's out. But I have come to really treasure that time when there is...........nada.

And I've discovered I have a gift. Really. I can find more ways to do nothing than I would have ever dreamed. But I'm always open to suggestions - so tell me.....how do you waste time?

Well, being retired I have lots of time to waste.
My favorite is putting on funny clothes and going out and shooting old (looking) guns with ammo loaded with Black Powder.
Then there's five days a week of the radio with a certain deaf, formerly rotund host.
Handloading amunition is always a great time-waster, epecially with The Holy Black powder which is much slower to work with.
I read a lot, both on line and on paper. I only watch racing and old movies on the teevee. Since Linda Lou likes the teevee I spend a lot of time in my little room with my computer and reloading gear. Fortunately I have a comfy chair in there. Even more fortunatly I managed to quit smoking before I fell in love with black powder, otherwise the hole in the ground where my house used to be would be impressive.
Oh, and the most imortant part of the day, nap time.

I'm with ya, Tammi. Sometimes we all need "nothing" time.

I like to nap if I have "nothing time." I rarely sleep and I think I'm doing fine, but about once every two months or so, I let myself take a nap and it's then that I realize why a day of nothing feels so good.

Enjoy your downtime, we never give ourselves enough of it, and contrary to popular belief, it can actually be productive and beneficial. Geez, makes me want to take a nap right now...

I don't necessarily call it waisting time, but *ahem, it has been viewed as such by the LATADRSMH...watching football. I tried, unsuccessfully, to explain that I spent so many years stationed overseas (12 years at last count) and was unable to really enjoy watching football on Sundays so I'm making up for it now.

Wasting time.

I can't believe people think napping is a time waster!

It's mandatory on days off to nap for me, so I don't consider it a time waster.

For me laying on the couch reading one of my smut books is a good sunday time waster.
