Saturday Question
On Saturdays I'll try to come up with some "out there" question that just makes you stop and think about something not so important. Think of it as a mini vacation. If you have any ideas drop me a line and we'll throw it in here. Who knows, it might be fun.
OK - Here goes: What is your favorite thing about rain?
I was sitting here a bit ago, looking out the front door. I noticed in a very short amount of time the leaves had turned over. Daddy had pointed that out to me way back when - if there was gonna be rain, the leaves turned over on the trees. He always said you could even tell how bad the weather would be, based on that.
Anyway - I was sitting here, just waiting for the rain to start and I drifted back. Back to sitting on the lania in the rain. Oh, there was a roof so I wasn't out IN the rain. But I'd listen to the sound of the water on the roof. Feel a light mist every now and again, usually more than welcome in the heat and humidity. Relaxing. Dreaming.
I just love the sound of rain. But then again, you have to remember, I'm alllll about the water.
So tell me.....what do you enjoy most about the rain???

I'm not a rain hater, I like to hear it on a tin roof. I like to watch it pour outside from inside my garage. I like that it can "give me free time", but causin' baseball games to be rescheduled.
Other then that. Rain sucks. ;) It makes the grass grow.
I love a cool fall rain. It's just relaxing. I can sit with the windows open and listen to it for hours and it is the most stress relieving activity for me.

In my new house, my bed upstairs and my big chair downstairs are net to the sliding glass door that faces the woods. I love to sit or lay there and just watch/listen to the rain in the woods. It's probably one of my favorite things about this house.

I love a good soft Spring rain, when the earth is coming alive; it feels so nuturing.
Oh... and in the Fall, I used to love attending RenFest on cool, ugly weekends and always hoped for rain... thought it gave the surroundings more 'realism'. LOL!!
I love everything about rain. The smell, the sound, the feel. All of it. I find it to be quite the aphrodysiac.
