News? You call this News???

Oh for cryin' out loud...

I put Fox News on last night, tryin' to catch up on what's been going on in the world.

Just so happens the O'Reilly Factor was on.

The next story up after I turned it on? Why is it that so many supermodels have such trouble in their personal lives? Booze, drugs, bad relationships. Is it the industry's fault.

I just about spit my drink out when I heard that.

So much going on in this world and THIS is what they come up with?!?!!?

Ya wanna know why so many supermodels have bad personal lives? I can help with that. I've got friends, that-while not supermodels, are/were very VERY successful in that field.

So ya wanna know? Huh?

Because THEY ARE HUMAN! How's that?!?!

They make bad choices, just like the rest of us. But THEY LIVE IN A SPOTLIGHT. They're "celebraties".

Add that with a lot of money. A lot of lonely travel time. And, believe it or not, a LOT of lack of confidence not to mention how young they are......

They Are Human.

Damn. I'm just so disappointed. THIS is why I stopped listening to the news.

Um - hate to say it but O'Reilly Factor is not news. It's commentary. Just like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, etc, etc, etc.

The real problem is that news has been replaced by these shows and everyone looks at them as if they are news shows. Thus the "Fox News is Conservative" meme. If you pay attention - the actual "news" portion of Fox is NOT conservative. It's mostly AP/Reuters stuff. The "commentary" shows are conservative.

Yeah, I realized that - it's just usually there are things on that reflect the "going's on" in the world. I got frustrated because with everything that's happeneing they decide to talk about this and turn it into a "poor beautiful princess" who is "taken advantage of by the big bad industry".

I'm kinda on a "take responsibility for your own actions" kick right now....

I am with you on this, by the time i get my peeps to sleep, dishes and the like, I try and catch up with "news"...although that word does not apply to what we are recieving. I digree...I get stuck watching Bill O Reilly or some other crazy shit bag, giving me regurgatated version of news...

I am surprised Mr. O Reilly did not discuss personl accountability etc in that case...is he a democrat now?
