Saturday Question
That's right. I actually thought of a Saturday Question this morning.
I think it comes from my overwhelming craving of the moment, but whatever. It fits all the criteria for a Saturday Question - so here goes.
What is your favorite kind of donut?
Donut's are my downfall. I love them. I even crave those horrible, dry, yicky vending machine pastries. Seriously. I love 'em.
But-if I'm in a donut shop, with all those lovely little rings to choose from I ALWAYS get a cake donut with the toasted coconut. Well, that and a cake donut with chocolate icing.
You see - I cannot stop at just one. Ever. To me, eating just one donut is like stealing just one kiss.
Why bother.
So tell me......what is the one donut you just can't resist?

The best donuts ever were these homemade twisted sugar-dipped donuts that I used to have when I was a kid. We had tenants living above who had six kids. When their grandma would come to visit, she always made them and invited us up for some...while they were still hot. Yummy!!!

I used to work at a doughnut shop (won't mention the name, but it's one of the 'big' ones.) The health inspector came by, and saw a box that had been chewed on the corner by a rat. He ordered the box to be taken to the dumpster, and it was. After the inspector left, the owner went to the dumpster, retrieved the box, and used the contents to make doughnuts. It's taken me a long time to get past that image. Lord, I missed those chocolate cake honey-glazed ones!

My office in Tulsa was obsessed with doughnuts. They had a Friday Doughnut Club. Then if anyone had a birthday, they usually brought in doughnuts. When the Krispy Kreme opened there, it set a record for one-day sales. There was also traffic tie-ups and cops directing traffic to get into the place. In fact, my first real blog post was about Krispy Kreme's.
Now I just say NO to the doughnuts.

I'm with QW - I LOVE Enteman's - any of their chocolate one's especially the devil's food with the crumbs on top....I could eat the whole box at once.
