TS #5 is following the same path as Charley. That's the little whirly thingy just north of S. America. Looks to be upgraded later today. Hey folks. Meet Earl.
Earl? Stay the hell away.
Posted by Tammi at August 14, 2004 10:56 AM | TrackBackThere are supposed to be 9 of them this year, I believe. This is early early in the season, so I am very worried. Andrew hit in mid August, I believe the 19th. We're already looking at Earl and we're not at the 15th.
I have to tell you, I've lived through this for years, being a Navy kid, this is where you live, on the coast, but I am very scared. Very scared.
Posted by: Boudicca at August 14, 2004 11:41 AMYeah, I just keep thinking it's early in the season yet.
I used to love storms. I even went out to the beach a couple of times and watched some tropical storms coming in across the gulf. So beautiful.
When I looked outside a few minutes ago, so the storm clouds and the wind again, heard about the Big T warning I got afraid. I've never been afraid of storms. Ever. I respect them, but I've never been afraid.
Right now, I'm scared. I hate that. It's just a flippin' thunderstorm.
I hope this passes. I don't like this feeling.
Posted by: Tammi at August 14, 2004 12:22 PMHurricane T-Storms are a whole different animal.
I've been through every category storm except cat-5 (brrrrr...) and every one of them scares the crap out of me at some point.
It's like a living thing trying to bang its way into your home...Exciting and terrifying at the same time.
Hurricanes tends to makes ya appreciate the hell out of life.
Posted by: Rtfm at August 14, 2004 04:15 PMDaniel is that huge blob off of the African coast also. So there are 2 more coming toward the US.
Doesn't look like it's going to be a good hurricane season this year with so many this early in the season.
