Your Input Please

I've got a bit of a problem, and no one to really "roll it around" with - when suddenly I remembered YOU!! Yes, I think you can help me.

So - I've got a luncheon training meeting tomorrow. It's with one of my stores that, let's just say, isn't feeling all that loved right now. With the move, transition and everything else - they haven't had the attention THEY think they deserve. Anyway -

I need to supply lunch. For 18 people. It's an upscale furniture store and it'll be a kind of grab, train and go thing.

Here's the problem. I don't have an expense account in stand by. I gotta foot the bill and then be reinbursed down the road. (iow - sometime next month) So, I need to do something nice, different (don't like to be considered average or run of the mill) but not something that will break the bank.

Any suggestions? Actually, this will help in planning future sessions also. I have the breakfast meetings down. Either donuts, bagels or combination there of. I've even picked up a variety of breakfast sandwhichs, bring in OJ and gourmet coffee. But this lunch thing is tricky.

So - whata ya think?

Lunch?

Subway or Chick Fillet

Thats what we got for my wedding. We spent like $30 on a Sandwhich platters of various subs and probably the same amount for 200 chicken fingers with sauce.

Can't beat it.

We have a Lenny's Sub Shop that does good deli for a reasonable price; or, consider finding a GOOD Chinese or Thai take out place. The better ones will do up some items for you, provide rice, provide some egg rolls, and do so at a pretty good price. Wish the one near me was near you too, as they are good at it.

I unfortunatly have had to attend plenty of lunch meetings. The thing that goes over, for me at least, the best is just a plain deli lunch. You know lunch meat, fresh fresh bread, pototo/macaroni salad, dessert.

I rarely will have sandwich stuff at home or for normal workday lunch and having that fresh bread turkey with cheese sandwich is something I look forward to in lunch meetings.

Go to the supermarket (I LOVE Publix in Fla.) and get a deli platter (an appropriate amount of bread), a veggie platter and a fresh fruit platter. For drinks, bottled water, Diet Coke, regular coke. Done.
