My First Time

You know, I've had a pretty good day over all. Got a chance to meet with a customer for the first time - and I like them. A lot. I think this account will be a lot of fun.

Anyway - I got a little lost coming home. Now, I probably shouldn't admit this out loud on paper/internet but the account is straight down the highway from my home. And I do mean straight down the highway. I turn right on to the highway and go.......straight. Yeah, so getting home shouldn't have been an issue, but I decided to try and find a Staples or Office Depot near by.

So I get done with my calls - man was it a hot bugger out there today! - and head to the house. Get about 5 mins, yes that is minutes and make my decision to find that store. I live out. Way out. So I head towards a town, any town that is NOT Orlando. I drive. I drive. I drive. Next thing I know - I'm in flippin' ORLANDO!! I ended up about 35 miles from my house - about an hour drive given decent traffic conditions. Yeah right, decent traffic conditions in ORLANDO. It's now rush hour and my house is in the same direction all that traffic is headed!! Yikes! The good news there is I've now found a "backway" to Orlando that, while having tons of lights, doesn't have nearly as bad a traffic as I4.

Anyway - head back home. I get here. Fix a little somethin' for dinner and check the old blog. OK - it's still there. Light on comments but that's not that unusual. Check out all the sites on my blogroll - yes folks I read them all at least once a day. OK - check back, a couple new visitors. Cool. Check old site - some people still haven't changed their links, but at least folks are clicking over. Get back to my Site - ohh, new comment. Wow - 3 new comments.

Wait - what's this? Could it be? Why it is!! My first spammer! Oh WOW - TWO. Two in one day! Finally, I get the chance I've been waiting for. Yes folks - I got to ban.

If you've been reading my site at all, you know by now that I have a twisted sense of humor and kinda actually enjoy "smacking" someone that deserves it from time to time. Banning a spam IP is the kind of smacking I enjoy. I'm surprised I didn't say "Take That" when I hit the update button on the ban page. (You can't prove it, you can't - I've had this room swept for bugs - so I KNOW you can't prove it.)

So - to all you that have been here thru my last 4 months - you've shared my trials, tribulations and triumphs. And now - you've shared my first spam. It's a touching moment isn't it? I'm gonna need a cigarette now.
