Oh HELL No!!

Smash just posted something that has me yelling out loud!! Oh Hell NO!! THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN!!

Seems a young military veteran, who had served in Iraq, was marching in a parade on the 4th of July in Bainbridge Island. He wore his medals and carried a "Veterans for Bush" sign.

The crowd called him a Baby Killer. They called him a Murderer. They Booed him.

Again I say - Oh HELL No. I was too young when this happened the last time to do more than question people when they made these horrible accusations back in the '60s and '70s. I remember thinking it was wrong. It's still wrong. And now I'm all grown up and can help make it stop.

I've got to come clean with you all. I was so impressed this week with both Smash and Da Goddess and what they have been doing, I wrote about how important it is that we do something. Well I did. Today I recieved confirmation of my membership in the Celebration FL chapter of the Protest Warriors. We're new, we're small. But that doesn't mean we can't make an impact. I had to look for a chapter that was close to me. With my work schedule what it is, I knew how important that was.

Yeah, I'm busy. But you know what.....hell will freeze over before I sit back and let this crap happen all over again. What about you?
