Somethin' in the Air

The air just felt different. Heavier. Even for Florida. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it was different.

Then I saw this: Thousands From Bay Area Line Up For Kerry and Edwards

It wasn't just heavier - there was a GREAT influx of hot air comin' from the west coast of this state.

Here are a couple of lines that caught my attention:

Kerry quipped that he and Edwards have a better vision, and a better understanding of what's happening in America. And, he added, "We have better hair."

I cannot even begin to comment my thoughts on that line. Better Hair??? Oh, and how 'bout this one:

He recited the similarities between him and Edwards: "We're both lawyers. His name is John, my name is John. He was named People magazine's Sexiest Man of the Year, I read People magazine."

The article also mentions that they showed off a "light-hearted style that had been missing from Kerry campaign events". Hmmm - still wonder why he chose Edwards?!?!

Now I admit I'm biased. I make no secret of that. I don't like Kerry and DO NOT WANT HIM AS MY PRESIDENT. So, you can imagine why I loved this line, from the chairman of the Bush/Cheney campaign in the Southeast:

"What voters in the South are looking for is not someone who shares the same zip code or shares the same accent. They're looking for someone who shares their values."

I hope he's right.

Lemme see... similarities? umm...They're both conniving, slimy assclowns.

I hope he's right, too, about the values thing. The thought of the two of them running our country in the middle of a war is a nightmare in the making.

Yeah I live in Fort "Chad"erdale and smelled as well as felt the hot air too. Unfortunately, since this is once again a swing state, I am sure it isn't the last we will see of this "dynamic Duo". Even though Edwards was able to buy his election in NC, I am not sure how much of a factor he will be in Florida. He is good looking and slick. The good thing, I hope, is the more people see of Kerry, the less they will like him.
