Body Count

Cody (the killer puppy) - 3
Wild critters in my yard - 0

Yep, he did it again.

Tuesday it was 2 bunnies. Today - a very large frog.

I'm going to save a fortune on dog food.

Cody, uber-predator! Sugar has been eating moles - but I don't know if she's catching them or stealing them from the "big dogs" and cat.

Careful with the big frogs, Girl. Down here our big frogs are poisonous. I know many people who've lost their dogs to our frogs.

What Bou said. My Husband almost lost his first dog to a frog/toad.

Back in the early nineties my Bride and I were stationed at NAS Pensacola. We lived in base housing with no yard and had two golden retriever puppies. One male and one female. My female had a nasty habit of killing possums even though the poor darlin' was chained to a tree when she was outside unattended. She got about 10 in the course of a year. Once, I disposed of one of the corpses in our fourplex community garbage can. Well it rained and it was a couple of days before they picked up the trash. Suprisingly it didn't stink but when my neighbor went to empty his trash he opened up the lid to a crawly 3 inch layer of maggots. Incidently, he had issues with maggots due to a occurance with a packet of hot chocolate with "marshmallows". Funniest damn thing I ever saw. That girl dog of mine turned out to be the best gun dog I ever had. That dog could hunt, well at least until a Connecticut winter and 3 months quarantine in Hawai'i turned both my hunters into big giant lap sissies. The point of this story is...well their just ain't no point. DOGS RULE!

I'm sure you would have realized by now if he had licked (or chewed on)one of "those" toads that supposively gets you high.
