Another Jhiad, of sorts...

This is beyond anything I can stomach.

Pat Robertson has, on TV, "suggested on-air that American operatives assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to stop his country from becoming "a launching pad for communist infiltration and Muslim extremism."

That's kinda the same thing Al Qaida is doing with us, isn't it? And this guy is one of the Christian Leaders of our country (and that whole thought is something I'll save for another post). Some flippin' example.

I couldn't believe it when I heard it on the news this morning! This from a minister?! From the head of a large congregation?! What about the phrase "as you reap, so shall you sow"? Hello? Karma ring a bell?

I dunno, gang. Would the world be a better place today if Lenin had been assassinated in December of 1917, before he'd consolidated power? Hitler in 1934? Mao in 1950? Castro in '61?

Whether or not such things should be uttered on the air is a seperate question that reasonable people can come up with differing answers but I have a pretty extensive list of people of whom I believe that the world could be improved by their sudden demise.
