2 hours sleep. 2 flippin' hours.
I'm hot. It's miserable.
Poor Cody.
I cannot wait to get those air conditioners. I cannot express that strongly enough.
And today? Today I get to play in the plant all afternoon. Have I mentioned the furnaces? The hot metal? Is there a word that is hotter than hot? Yeah - that's what I'm lookin' for.
I keep saying I can do anything for a year. Right now I've brought that focus down....2 days. Just 2 short days. I can stand anything for 2 days.
Damn, I miss my pool!!!!!
Posted by Tammi at June 10, 2005 05:39 AMyou're telling me. I hate this hot weather. I hate it. I thought you, seeing as you lived in Florida, would like these hotter temps. I'm hating it with a passion.
Posted by: Contagion at June 10, 2005 06:13 AMIn Tammi's World - it's hot outside and cool inside. Period.
This is horrible.
Posted by: Tammi at June 10, 2005 06:15 AMI'm kinda weird.
If its going to be hot out, I want it to be damn hot, and humid so it feels like your breathing thru a wet washcloth. The kinda heat we get back home in Georgia. I looove that.
And I like it cold. Not cool. Cold.
My wife calls me an extremists ;)
Posted by: BloodSpite at June 10, 2005 08:09 AMLast September when our A/C punked out it took 4 days to get a new one installed... I thought I would die, but got through it with damp wash cloths and fans.
You can do it! Hang in there! Oh, that's when Tess still had long hair... I wet towels and laid them over her, stroked her with them so that it would cool her off some, and put a fan on her. It helped.
Posted by: pam at June 10, 2005 09:08 AMI'm so sorry sweetie! I did see something on tv the other day that made me think of you. It's an AC that doesn't go in the window. It goes somewhere else...can't remember...I'll try to send you the link.
Meanwhile, you MUST NOT turn on the stove or oven!! :-)
Posted by: Sissy at June 10, 2005 10:05 AMWhat Sissy said. There's a reason you have a microwave :-)
Oh, and that word for hotter than hot?
TNT ;-)
Posted by: Harvey at June 10, 2005 11:59 AMSorry Sissy - nice as those units are you are thinking about - they are very pricey. I looked into getting one for my office a couple years ago... whoa! It would be nice because my office needs to be a bit cooler because of the machines... (I have central air but many times the rest of the house would be fine without turning it on - but my office is an oven) but I'm not spending that kind of money. I think once she get's the window units - things will be okay...
Posted by: Teresa at June 10, 2005 03:30 PMIt was 90 today. I got to lay out by the pool at our health club and be a lazy bum...I LOVE this weather!
Posted by: TNT at June 10, 2005 11:18 PMI feel for you Tammi, plants are horrible in the summer cause the heat never leaves until October. It just gets bottled up inside it.
